Custom Designed Badges for the Design Department

We recently finished creating custom badges for Dover Grammar School for Boys, and we wanted to hear more about their motivation behind the design. Here's what they had to say:

I was new in post from September and wanted a way of rewarding high performing DT students in school. I spent a long time looking for a suitable badge, but nothing quite matched my requirements. I then decided to design my own badge. I asked our Sixth form students to produce a design in a 15-minute design challenge. We had 18 entries and the students and staffed chose the winner.

This creative approach to badge design serves as inspiration for others. Running a design competition is a fantastic way to engage students and encourage creativity. It gives them the opportunity to showcase their skills, understand a brief, and be recognised for their work.
